This statement above is curled from the gospel of John, chapter 14 verse 6.
John 14vs 6-7
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”
2Timothy 3vs 16
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,”
We find teaching(doctrine),
Evidence(reproof),
Correction and
Instruction in righteousness from God’s Word.
Why is Jesus THE way, THE truth and THE life?
John 1vs 1-5
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not [a]comprehend it.”
The Word is God right from the Beginning, it’s by this Word all things were made
Vs 10-14
“He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His [c]own, and His [d]own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the [e]right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
The Word became a man
This Word is a person. He is God in the human flesh.
Isaiah 9vs 6
“For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
He is called Mighty God, Everlasting Father,”
John 14vs 7-10
“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”
8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”
9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.”
He is in the Father and the Father is in Him.
Luke 1vs 30-35
“Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”
34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I [g]do not know a man?”
35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”
He wasn’t born of the natural descent of mankind-
He was born by deity fusing with humanity.
**He is called Son of God because he is a man,
**He is called our Savior and Lord for the finished Work of Salvation- his death, burial, resurrection and ascension so that you and I can have access to God Almighty, so that you and I can have eternal life.
**He is called God because He is the Living Word who is God from the foundations of the world, by whom all thing are made and have existence.
He is not a prophet or one of many prophets.
He is God who stripped Himself of His rights for the sake of the sacrifice for our lives.
He is God who chose to come to you and I.
He is God who desires a lasting relationship with mankind and would do all that He did so that He can be with man.
There is no other way for which humanity is redeemed, united with the Creator of the World.
Only be hearing the message of the gospel, Believe if it with their heart,
Confessing with their mouth that Christ is Lord
John 3vs 14-19
“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should [c]not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”
Romans 5vs 8
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 10vs 8-10
“But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
1Corinthians 1vs 21
“For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.”
He is not the way ‘shower’ – He is THE WAY,
He is not a truth- He is THE TRUTH
Eternal Life is only received in Him- because He is THE LIFE.
1Timothy 3vs 16
“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory.”
All you have to do, is to accept this message, believe and confess and you are grafted into the Family of God! That simple!!
That is the Wisdom of God. May not sound logical, that is why it is God’s wisdom.
